 Excellent features for the money August 24, 2010

A feature rich printer that allows you to replace 3 different machines with only this one. Nice design and great looking. The only negative is the separate drum, that you need to replace every 3 or 4 toner replacements. Still, I recommend by all means.

I needed something for my home office, mainly to fax and scan (amazing how prevalent fax still is). Read all reviews and zoned in on this one. Picked it up at Staples for 119. Very impressed with all functions. Scanning is outstanding, so is faxing and printing. The software CD was not so user-friendly, but I got around it. Great buy !!

This product works pretty well even though it feels a little flimsy. The scanning works very well and is pretty fast. The fax machine works well but can't distinguish between a phone call and a fax. The printing is ok but not up to HP quality. The copies are too light. I see they have raised the price about $50 since I bought it. Despite these gripes, I am happy overall with the product.

I looked at quite a few combo printers before purchasing this one. I just switched from an inkjet and will never go back...the ink always seems to dry up way too fast. Of course, I do seem to go a while between printing. I have owned the MFC 7340 now for about two plus months and I am very satisfied with it. It was delivered very fast and was relatively easy to set up. The one thing I wasn't real happy with was how I had to search through a boat load of information on the disk to find how to set up the scanner with my Mac...it could have been simplified with better headings on the disk. Otherwise I have been very happy with this purchase...it prints and scans fast and does a nice job.

This printer has performed a million times better than any other I have used in recent years. It is quiet, rarely jams, the quality is great, and we've had no problems with copying, scanning or printing, although we have yet to use the fax feature. The only complaint I have is that, predictably, the ink ran out fairly soon, and gave a warning that the ink was low. I even think it refused to print any more at that point. We then blocked the sensor so it wouldn't read when the ink was "low" and it started printing again without problem. The really frustrating thing is that the machine told us to change the ink cartridge MONTHS ago, we did not, and it has gone on print just fine since then, including a 70+ document that we just printed out this morning. Just a scam to get you to buy new ink long before you actually need it.
