All of this gives you the flexibility to take your power-hungry equipment on the road with you. The Duracell Pocket Inverter makes carrying multiple cords, chargers, and device- specific batteries a thing of the past. The Duracell Pocket Inverter 175 gives you power on-the-go. | Packed with Features The Duracell Pocket Inverter 175 is packed with features that will keep you up and running while you are out-and-about. The DC cable fits all standard cigarette-lighter and vehicle accessory power sockets. The grounded AC outlet and USB charging port can provide a total of 130 watts of continuous output power and a peak output power of 175 watts. Over-temperature shutdown keeps the unit from overheating under extreme conditions and prevents fires. The overload shutdown ensures that the unit's inverter does not become damaged from being overpowered by the DC source. Low-battery voltage shutdown turns the unit off when there is insufficient energy to power your devices, keeping the internal circuitry of your mobile electronics safe from harm. An included Electronic Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter immediately terminates power if the unit is exposed to water or other liquids that could cause a short circuit. The Duracell Pocket Inverter 175 also comes with a one-year warranty.

Problem with inverter power cord August 31, 2010 K. Small This inverter worked well for 18 months to power a 16" TV from our car cigarette lighter.
I measured the AC load on the inverter at only 20 watts, so I expected good inverter reliability.
This week, when the 30Amp fuse in the car that protects the cigarette lighter blew, I suspected
the inverter was shorted. After troubleshooting the problem I discovered the inverter was OK!
The short was in the 2-pin connector that plugs into the inverter. After cutting away part
of the rubber connector, I saw that the insulation on the wires had pulled slightly away
from the pins *inside* the moulded rubber connector allowing the stranded wires to touch.
There was very little clearance between the wires at that point and no insulating barrier.
I was able to repair the connector and used epoxy to keep the wires from touching.
Everything works again! I'm writing this review to alert others to this problem, so that they
won't assume the inverter shorted and failed. The problem is easily repairable.

Haven't used long, but so far works great, beautiful design. August 27, 2010 lei Assuming it holds up, this is just what I needed, in a smaller, sleeker design than expected. I use it for a moist heat blanket for physical therapy. Very convenient.
It works August 25, 2010 Ghostly Shopper So far I've only used it to charge my cell phone on a long trip, and it has worked great for that. The only thing I've noticed is that it will sometimes make a low volume but high pitched squealing sound for a very short time when first turning it on. It goes away after a minute so it really isn't an issue.
Mr. Inverter August 24, 2010 T. Martucci (Peckville, PA) Needed an inverter for a 25 day road trip, this powered and charged many of my devices including a MacBook Pro, mobile phones, powered USB hubs (to charge USB devices) and camera batteries. I was impressed it charged my laptop while I was using it since I had a previous inverter that, when I plugged in an (old) laptop with battery, something happened with the battery and it wouldn't charge. Anyway, great product. 175 watts (or as someone said, 130 watts or so through DC) is enough for your typical electronic devices, just check your watts before buying.
Ok, but not great August 21, 2010 BX Nismo 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's rated for 130 watt continous, but it's probably closer to 100watt. Used it for my laptop with a 120 watt draw. Worked fine for about 3 days, then overloaded. has to switch to my ac plug from my old laptop rated @ 90watt. It works but the laptop doesn't recharge as fast. The fan on the inverter works great, keeps unit cool even on 90+ degree days
