Like it alot June 3, 2010 H.A.B (Minnesota) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's easy to read and easy to use. I really like its digital reading- lets you know the exact temp.
Waterproof? May 19, 2010 Patrick J. Murphy (Olathe, KS USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Indicates temperature very fast I loved that...but waterproof? Apparently not! It quit working after washing one time by hand. I'll order another one and be very gentle when cleaning it.

inaccurate, won't calibrate May 17, 2010 Doppler (Mass.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Inaccurate and won't calibrate pretty much sums it up. I tried to calibrate this thermometer, plus another CDN "pro accurate" black one, and both were way off target (by more than 10 deg. F), and neither one would successfully calibrate (e.g. in ice water or boiling water). I won't buy any of these again.
quick & readable May 10, 2010 Marlaine Francis (CHARLESTON, IL) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Everything about the ProAccurate thermometer is great to use & in the face of it...well, its just so readable. Love it...
weak battery cover May 2, 2010 Eric J. Schwarzenbach 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This thermometer worked well until the battery compartment cover gave way. It basically has a little tab that locks it in place: in one position it fits through a slot, and a half turn or so rotates it past the notch. The problem is, this tab is a tiny bit of weak plastic. After replacing the battery once or twice, it snapped off and now the cover doesn't go on any more. I was able to continue using it, somewhat, by holding the battery in place with my thumb--a fiddly exercise to be sure, because it would only work if I managed to keep it in just the right position. Then my girlfriend decided to wash it, and game over! It may be water resistant with the battery cover on (there seems to be a gasket), but it certainly isn't without. It could have been a good thermometer but the weak battery cover is just a fatal flaw.
